Purpose
Control compatible televisions from one focused Android interface with discovery, pairing, saved devices, quick keypad input, app launching, and secure credential storage.
Current Status
Beta testers needed. The signed Android build is completing television compatibility checks and Play Store release preparation.
Pre-release Testing
Even if Maxxed Remote is still in development, testers can request access. A clear request helps us prioritize the next launch pass, prepare a tester build quickly when feasible, and collect real-device feedback before public release.
Core Workflow
- Find compatible TVsDiscover supported Samsung Tizen and LG webOS televisions on your local network.
- Pair with confidenceApproval and pairing credentials stay protected through Android Keystore encryption.
- Keep control closeUse navigation, volume, channels, keypad input, saved TVs, and supported app shortcuts.
- Designed for local useRemote commands stay on the private network and only private IP addresses can be added.
Privacy
Pairing credentials are encrypted on the device. Remote-control traffic remains on the local network. The full app-specific policy is available at Maxxed Remote Privacy Policy.
Known Limitation
Feature and streaming-app support varies by television model, region, and manufacturer.
Weekly Review
This README should stay in sync with the app source, privacy policy, support flow, testing status, and latest GitHub PR work. Review it at least once per week and update stale claims before launch decisions.
Support
For a useful ticket, include app version, device model, Android version, exact steps, expected result, actual result, and whether the issue repeats.
