Purpose
Place an object of known size in the same plane as the subject, calibrate the image, adjust measurement endpoints, and save or export an annotated result with visible uncertainty.
Current Status
Early access requests open. Core CameraX, calibration, correction, history, export, and known-object validation work is in progress.
Pre-release Testing
Even if Maxxed Measure is still in development, testers can request access. A clear request helps us prioritize the next launch pass, prepare a tester build quickly when feasible, and collect real-device feedback before public release.
Core Workflow
- Calibrate with a real referenceUse a known-size object in the same image rather than relying on an unsupported camera guess.
- Correct the endpointsDrag both measurement points and retain a ruler overlay while reviewing the subject.
- Use practical unitsView inches, common fractions, feet, millimeters, centimeters, or meters.
- Keep the evidenceSave, rename, delete, copy, and explicitly export measurements and annotated captures.
Privacy
Measurement captures and history are designed to remain local unless the user explicitly exports them. The full app-specific policy is available at Maxxed Measure Privacy Policy.
Known Limitation
Camera-assisted measurements are estimates. The app will not claim exact or .001-inch accuracy.
Weekly Review
This README should stay in sync with the app source, privacy policy, support flow, testing status, and latest GitHub PR work. Review it at least once per week and update stale claims before launch decisions.
Support
For a useful ticket, include app version, device model, Android version, exact steps, expected result, actual result, and whether the issue repeats.
